• Breast Cancer: Treatment for metastatic disease, especially after the failure of standard combination chemotherapy.
• Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC): Often used as a first-line treatment in combination with other agents like cisplatin or carboplatin.
• Pancreatic Cancer: Used in combination with gemcitabine for advanced or metastatic cases.

Administration & Storage

• Method: Administered only by IV infusion by a healthcare professional.
• Duration: Typically infused over 30 to 60 minutes once every three weeks, though schedules vary by cancer type.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place (usually below 25°C or in a refrigerator at 2°C–8°C depending on the brand) and protect from light. 

Side Effects

• Hematologic: Significant drop in blood cell counts (neutropenia, anemia, thrombocytopenia), increasing infection and bleeding risks.
• Neurologic: Peripheral neuropathy (numbness, tingling, or pain in hands and feet) is common and may worsen with repeated doses.
• General: Complete hair loss (alopecia), severe nausea, vomiting, muscle and joint pain, and fatigue.
• Severe Risks: Life-threatening allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) and potential heart rhythm changes.
